Turks and Caicos Fish Fry

Every Thursday (kicking off just after sunset) is the best and most popular beach party in the Turks and Caicos Islands.  The Fish Fry is good clean fun for everyone; bring the whole family, young and old.  This may be the one time on your trip when you get to party with a mix of locals, expats and visitors in one place.  You will definitely get to experience the culture of the Turks and Caicos and immerse your senses in what our islands have to offer.

The Fish Fry is hosted by the Turks and Caicos Tourist Board and conceived by David Fenimore.  David reached out to (local only) restaurateurs and vendors, spanning all of the Caicos Islands to come together to showcase their local delicacies and goods.   Whole Fried Caribbean Red Snapper, Lobster Tails (best price on the island), Cracked Conch and Conch Fitters, and all the tasty local side dishes are available along side arts & Crafts vendors, each under their own tents.

Taking center stage are a variety of live acts and local entertainment introduced by Master of Ceremonies (local radio personalities) who keep the rhythm of entertainment on track and interact with crowd to keep the mood upbeat and fun.

The buzz of activity around the venue (Bight Beach Park) is contagious, when the calypso band starts to rip, you won’t be able to sit still.  Before you know it you will be pulled toward the dance floor and possibly into a conga line.  The energy continuously builds throughout the evening to a climax, when the crowd parts way for the explosive, pounding drum beats of the (40+ person) Junkanoo band closing the event on a high note.
